Rob Cameron

Hello and welcome to my blog.

So who is this Rob Cameron?

I am an experienced manager, a coach, a mentor and a director of a charity.

Experienced Manager
I am a management professional with 8 years industrial leadership experience, including directing operational planning, team management, budget creation, financial control, strategic studies and issue resolution. I have a proven record of deploying process improvement methodologies to increase efficiency, drive productivity and reduce costs. I am a problem solver with strong analytical, change management and decision-making skills and a passion for customer care, process and quality. I believe in and am committed to improving performance through engagement, effective coaching, mentoring and aligning goals. I use my breadth of knowledge and skills alongside my strong network to deliver individual and team goals.
In addition to my industrial experience, I actively served in the United Kingdom’s volunteer reserve forces for over ten years. I spent 8 of those years in leadership positions, this gives me an alternative perspective and set of experiences.

Coach
I am passionate about helping people to think. I help people to develop solutions, create and develop plans for success; whether it is to increase their performance, achieve clarity of direction, overcome obstacles or develop their business or career.

Mentor
I have a strong belief in developing and nurturing our future engineers and leaders. I am registered with the IET and IMechE as a mentor and provide guidance to engineers who wish to progress to professional registration and the accomplishment of Chartered Engineer status.

Director of Big Brum Theatre in Education Company
Big Brum is a TIE company that believes in the use of theatre as a tool for learning. I became involved because I have seen the positive effect that such activities can have on the education of our children and in return I would like to use the skills and knowledge that I have accumulated to benefit the artists who give so much of themselves to such good effect.

I hope you find the posts I make useful and I would welcome your feedback, suggestions and comments.

Regards

Rob Cameron
